Investigating Paranormal Activity and Investigation Techniques
We are a Paranormal investigation group based in Cedar Rapids, IA. We started out as skeptical viewers of many "Ghost Hunter" shows and videos, so decided to tackle some investigations ourselves. At our first two investigations a couple of things happened that have shaped our investigations going forward. The first is that we did encounter unexplainable phenomena. The second thing is that we realised we were unprepared for it.
So now, we have invested in equipment, and have decided to use the nominal techniques used by other paranormal investigators, but stay as skeptical of the results as is necessary to develop new techniques and drop those that are just for viewer numbers.
We are aiming to put together a body of work that is totally neutral in nature and can be viewed by believers and skeptics alike. We will be presenting any evidence found during our investigations, as well as any debunking we feel may be appropriate.
John Has Authored a book on ghost hunting!
Ghosts and the paranormal have been part of the human experience for centuries, and play a role in everything from Hamlet to Hollywood blockbusters. The evidence for ghosts, however, has always stayed on the periphery of science. Ghost hunting today is growing in popularity and is aided by modern equipment, but it must also be subject to modern standards of experimentation and objectivity. Strange events can sway even the most rigid skeptic, but it’s crucial that we see them for what they are, not just what we want them to be.Whether you’re a believer, a skeptic, or somewhere in between, this book will challenge your beliefs and force you to re-examine the evidence—and fakery—behind modern ghost hunting.
Meet The Team
Our team is a good mix of personalities and backgrounds, our approaches may vary, but together we aim to provide a balanced body of work that will promote discussion on both sides of the belief divide.
